And in case you wanted to see them all side by side…
Finally done with this. So this is mainly an experimental piece, and while it was tough I had fun with it. And even though there are some wonky things here and there I’m happy with it. Here’s the version with text. If any of you have guessed, yes the title is inspired by both the word ‘anomaly’ and the Incubus song “Anna Molly.”

So after 5 months it’s finally here! The “William H. Ely Exhibition”! My senior thesis is all done. I put so much time and love into this that I couldn’t be happier with the result. There’s so much I could say and talk about when it comes to all of these, but in the end I just have to say that it was fun to try and solve the execution of all these.
Gaiman’s work has been some of my favorite things to read in my life, and now some of my best work is based off his. I am extremely grateful for such amazing inspiration!
I now present my comic scene rendition of Neil Gaiman’s “Coraline” along with the full book jacket!
If you’re in the city of Philadelphia, come out to the University of the Arts and check out the show!
Just wanted to post that you can now follow me on Facebook if you so choose, lol.
By all means, share the page as well! Go forth!
So the Ely’s are here. For those who don’t know, basically, at my school it’s the Illustration Majors thesis for senior year in a nut shell. Gonna have to do a series of pieces that all relate to a theme/body of work that you’re passionate about.
Gonna do a comic adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “Coraline”! I’ve already started on character sketches, and I even messaged Neil Gaiman himself in a tumblr message telling him of my plans to which he told me to have a great time with it. Extremely short message but it gave me that extra drive. I’m feeling really awesome about this year already!
Had a few printing problems with this. Luckily in the end (and by the end I mean by the middle of our class’s section critiques) I was able to get a good print and got a good response. I’m feeling good.
